"SUSPIRIA" - The Fake Blood Soundtrack:

In 2011 I was asked to present a film screening at the British Film Institute, as part of a season hosted by musicians and DJs. The choice of film was up to each hosting artist.
Instead of doing a DJ set while a film played, or just choosing a favourite music-related movie, I decided to entirely re-score Dario Argento's classic "Suspiria" from 1977 - one of my favourite movies - and screen that alongside my soundtrack. Luckily the rights holders liked the idea and agreed to let us show it!

I composed 23 new pieces of music for it (replacing the original Goblin soundtrack), reworked the original dialogue / sound effects track, and then performed the result live in the main BFI cinema as a DJ set / screening. The place was packed, I was highly nervous, but thankfully it got a great response!
Later on I presented it at Bestival's outdoor cinema, appropriately located in a forest at night, and also at the Soundtrack film festival in Cardiff. Those 3 occasions were the only time this version was ever screened.
People who attended those showings, and those who'd heard the music, often asked if and when the music would be made available.

So here it is. I hope you enjoy this labour of love.
